[Deptheads] A brief thought on panels and seminars

Well, I can tell you that as a result of the two Reiner shows, one Jay
Tummelson show and one Tom Jolly show, nearly seven thousand downloads with
the name Strategicon mentioned happened (not including another four thousand
plus for the three Strategicon wrap-up shows).
Interestingly, I've already had about a dozen listeners complain to me that
the next convention has Steve Jackson and they are less interested since he
isn't a Eurogame figure. That was just in e-mail. More than that discussed
it with me at BGG.CON. Regardless of their opinion, none these are people
live in Southern California and they all knew that Steve Jackson is the
Special Guest at Orccon 2008. That's got to account for something.
People want to hear what happens at the cons. Sure, some just listen but
more hear it enough that it makes them want to come. Seminars are a good way
to get the word out on Strategicon.
