[Deptheads] Marketing

Umm...I have read a lot recently about "if they aren't back they won't come
back" and so forth. My 2 cents is that this weekend I joined a group in
Anaheim that are pretty serious miniatures gamers. I told them I was with
Strategicon and the 2 questions I got was "Are they still around" and "when is that
anyway".

I have LONG advocated getting groups to the convention because that
increases the word of mouth factor dramatically. That is one reason I'm doing what
I'm doing, it will attract "groups" who will spread word through their members.

I'm not going to give any suggestions for marketing, because as I've been
told before on this forum "Let people who know about RPGs make RPG decisions."
If a group of 15 rabid gamers in Anaheim don't even know Strategicon
exists...maybe something can be done there.

John

P.S. It looks like 8 or 9 of this group will be going to Strategicon for the
1/700 GQ this time around, and I may have another lead on a M&M group to
come out.
