That kind of separation contributes to the perception that the
convention is smaller than it really is, and keeps people isolated by
department.  While there are definitely gamers who play only one type
of game, there are also many who like to play multiple types, and
separation makes it more difficult for them to do so.  It's also
generally very bad for exhibitors, because only one of those areas
will end up being near the exhibitor room.
