[Deptheads] New Radisson contact

I think there needs to be an *apparent* critical mass of gamers - the bulk of gamers in one area - but spreading the con over several floors I seriously doubt would affect attendance.

Who cares about the perception if there really are a lot of people there? If we trumpet our attendance numbers, I think that'll get the message across. People are starting to 'get' that the cons are back.   I tend to think the crossover between types of gaming is fairly rare these days. Skipping up to another level isn't too bad especially if you know that's the RPG floor or the BG floor or whatever.   ...ERB

That kind of separation contributes to the perception that theconvention is smaller than it really is, and keeps people isolated by department.  While there are definitely gamers who play only one typeof game, there are also many who like to play multiple types, andseparation makes it more difficult for them to do so.  It's alsogenerally very bad for exhibitors, because only one of those areas will end up being near the exhibitor room.

IfRPGs are on one level, BGs on one and minis on another (with CCGs and other things in there somewhere) - is that a major problem?_______________________________________________Deptheads mailing listDeptheads at strategicon.net <mailto:Deptheads at strategicon.net> http://mordred.punk.net/mailman/listinfo/deptheads <http://mordred.punk.net/mailman/listinfo/deptheads>
