[Deptheads] Comments on a local board

2a:   This has been true for a VERY long time, SoCal conventions 
attendance has been declining since the mid 1990s.   ...with the 
exception of the last two years.  where convention attendance has been 
higher for each successive con!

2b:  Aging attendees is definitely one of the reasons.  Expense is 
definitely another.

We have a huge mindshare to try and recapture.  Many people who are 
regular gamers remember the last 10 years of Rocky's reign and didn't 
like it.  Those people will be hard to bring back.
