"Room" is too neutral.
Lounge is definitely fun sounding. There is especially no problem if we post Video Game Lounge / No Food or Drink Allowed and this auto-negates any expectations that it will be a mojito-soaked Halofest.
This space would definitely act as a break from the convention and this is a great thing to have a come-and-go space for people between events. In no way does this mean that you could not have scheduled activities as well.

Victor I agree that video game beats electronic gaming any day of the week.
But that lounge word really makes it sound like folks can show up with their lunch and a coke. It doesnt seem like Janice wants that sort of room so lounge doesnt sound like an appropriate description.
But, yes, lounge sounds more fun.

Video Game Lounge is a good name
There are many video game lounge areas here on east coast. Video Game in thr title lets you know what activities are going on in the lounge.
This is a gaming convention and most gamers are not looking at something called a "video game lounge" as an adult only area.
Anyone seeing it in the program will see the description.
Anyone going by it seeing people inside playing video games and guitar hero will know immediately.
Electronic gaming doesn't have the pizzazz that the term video games does.
A staff lounge is still a good idea. With access granted to special guests and guest of honor.
A con suite is a bad idea. It would be cheaper to feed a 3rd world country for a year than to feed gamers at a convention for a weekend.

Video Game Lounge!
Lounge sounds like a cool crash space and video games are a better name for a console focus. Grab a mojito and head to the Video Game Lounge!

This is awesome and worth a note out to the SoCal Yahoo Groups. I know tons of GH maniacs among the LA gaming community that would love to compete in a tournament situation.
How about calling it the "Video Game Room"? That might be a bigger draw than "Computer Room". Or the Electronic Game room - just something other than "Computer Room", which sounds a bit like somewhere you go when you mouse isn't working anymore and you need an IT person.
