[Deptheads] Saturday Night Exhibitor Dinner

The dinner is a good idea.  It's weird how food does such a good job conveying appreciation.  Is the dinner going to be sit-down at tables or just a buffet so people can grab and go?   Do people need to be at the dealer's room at a certain time or can they drop in for a bite?
   
  Where are you ordering from?  If they are close to the hotel, maybe we can do a last minute ad trade for some free chow?

they are appreciated at our conventions and encourage them to keep
coming back. It has been the policy from the beginning that all
senior staff and convention owners are welcome and encouraged to come
to the dinner, and some people have come, but I have not done a very
good job of getting that information out. It has been on my list of
things to do for this convention, and lo and behold, I'm actually
managing to get the information out before the convention starts.

So, the Orccon exhibitor dinner will be Saturday in Catalina after the
exhibitor hall closes at 7:00 p.m. Figure between 7:15 and 7:30 food
will be set up and ready. It will be Indian food (Asian), primarily
tandoori. If you don't know much about Indian food or have any
qualms, feel free to ask Hugh (hksingh1 at comcast.net), either before
the con or at dinner. Convention Guest of Honor Steve Jackson and
Special Guest Ed Teixieira will be having dinner with us, so it's also
an opportunity for you to talk with them in a more relaxed atmosphere.
