Dealer Room was very cool! Glad it was so busy and full. It was a pleasure
to have the demos moved out to open gaming because it was too full to
accommodate us. That's okay - from what I heard, the dealers sold plenty of
games we showed off (if only they had all brought more copies of Pandemic).
Karl,
Maybe I'm missing something but if all the IE gamers are coming out to LAX
for the cons, do we really need to move the con closer? While I'm a fan of
the idea of an Ontario convention, too, we aren't gaining much if we already
get most of the IE folks and we potentially lose a lot of people on the West
end of LA County because they don't want to drive out to the IE for the con.
While I understand that the logistics of havng two locations sucks, moving
one of the cons might be an interesting idea. As we all know, Gamex was in
Pasadena for a while. Anyone remember "Son of Orccon" (perhaps a bad example
since I think that was only a one year show). However, trying one in Anaheim
or Ontario might be interesting (again, assuming the facility is available).
Speaking of that - how much space are we seeking, all told? I know Mike said
he didn't find a place with enough space in Ontario but how much is
considered 'enough'?
