[Deptheads] Re: Moving the Convention

My memory was that Gamex moved primarily because the Pasadena Hilton screwed
over the folks at Loscon by not fully disclosing the level of work being
done on their remodel (sound familiar?). It was always the smallest con and
I didn't think the move had to do with it growing in size. I may very well
be wrong there.

Yes, Son of OrcCon was over Thanksgiving weekend and doing a fourth show
then would be a terrible idea. But the location was right across from the
South Coast Plaza and a stone's throw from John Wayne. That's what I was
thinking of in mentioning it. If I recall correctly, it was a good space but
I'm not sure how big it is (or what it's like now). And expense could very
well be an issue.
