[Deptheads] Front Desk(s) Issues

Hello all.

So WHOSE flash drive did this go to? Defeats the purpose if the info is not even available to Eric A. or Mark(?).

I hate to sound like a bureaucrat, but especially if we continue to grow, we probably need to tighten up how we work the front desk areas.

A few suggestions from my non-expert observations:

1) A printed work schedule?? Two or three hour cash register and desk assistant?shifts - PRE-planned??

2) A few more cash register pulls?? At scheduled times?? This seems especially pertinent to Saturday.? Eric A. and Norm were having to count horse-choking piles of cash...

3) Having a schedule so that at least one the "quadumvirate" of Eric A./Mark/Norm/Chris?is always?staying at/close to the desks to stay on top of events and attendee flow?

4) Having checklists for start-of-the-day, shift changes, reg pulls, and nightly tear-downs?? This way, we make sure info is being backed up, everything is being put away with care, and newer volunteer staff know what is needed.

5) Have EVERYTHING backed up onto Eric A.'s laptop. Often.

That was Norm's laptop. And the database was downloaded to a stick every cash draw.
