[Deptheads] Thoughts on the volunteer sleeping rooms

Robert's Thoughts...
   
  1) We need to know if the beds and bedding will be in the room BEFORE we offer the rooms to any volunteers.   Some hotel monkey has to know the answer.  People will need to know to bring sleeping bags if they are going to be on the floor under a gaming table. 
   
  2) We need a written contract signed by each of the volunteers sleeping in those rooms so they know they are responsible for any damage and the rules about who is allowed to sleep there.  They will need to know what time exactly they get the room and what time exactly they need to be out of the room.    
   
  3) We must make sure the convention insurance policy covers us for this kind of crash space and the myriad of weird issues that it could involve.  Can we say accidental broken mirror?  Can we say grand mal seizures at 2am?  Can we say sex with a 14 year old?  All three happened in previous years. 
   
  4) How do we make sure we get 4 parking passes per day per room that we rent?  That needs to happen because those parking passes are a GREAT perk to hand out to volunteers and GMs. 
   
  But as I mentioned before, when you call the Radisson, the hotel staff knows NOTHING about free parking passes and deny that parking passes are given out for ANY circumstance because the parking lot is run by another company.
