[Deptheads] Open Gaming

Folks,

Everyone in boardgames wants a dedicated Open Gaming space, and the Open Role players also get a better chance to play as well. No one has their schedule full 24/7 so we need to have an area for people to congregate. This lets people who do not have a game they want to play space to play. We had at times 12 or more tables with open gaming going on, and that's why we had to start reserving tables for scheduled events.

What Open Gaming space does give us is a chance to get people who do not like tournaments and who love cons a place to play and to buy a weekend badge.

We need to be able to use space near boardgames, as that will generate more available players. The Penthouse needs to be for a destination area, not a pick up area. Remember the Westin?, where Open Gaming was on another floor from boardgaming, and then died. Let's at least learn from our mistakes, and not be PC to the point of destroying something viable.
