Eric A. and Patrick have seen the space at the Sheraton. Given their needs
and requirements for dealers room, does everyone have to approve this space?
I know we're trying to be considerate but if time is of the essence and not
everyone can get over there, perhaps an executive decision should be made.

What I am saying it that even though it is obvious what areas need to be
boardgaming and Dealer's Room, we need to have REAL information on the rooms to
find out what is usable for what. I have been to conventions where people
just went off floor plans, only to find that the area they wanted their
registration to be had NO OUTLETS of any kind, and same with the room they planned
for their computer room (it had a single 110V outlet). this is going to be
such a rush job when it gets down to it that we won't be able to afford last
minute changes due to oversights.
In the California Ballroom, where are the outlets for instance? Do they
have central outlets on the floor so Patrick can look at a centralized HQ for an
option? Do the airwalls fit flush into the main walls or do they hang out
into the usable area? Have we gotten with their staff to see the condition of
the tables they use (when they say 4' x 8' tables are they really 4x8 or 2
2x8 narrows together?)?
An Executive decision must be made to move or not, and done fast....but
using the area we KNOW has inaccurate floor plans must be resolved for all
departments during the next 6 weeks for best planning. All department heads going
over there for a look-see is needed so when you are told "you have such and
such rooms," there will be not only a photo of the area to memory jog, but
your own memory of the internal structure of the spaces you are assigned so you
can use it to the best of your abillity.
