[Deptheads] ConQuest SF on Labor Day

Loscon rotates staff every con. 
I have been a speaker, staff, etc. at Loscon in different years and Patrick Havert has volunteered as well. However neither of us are in california during the week.
Our PR  or a designated con liason for this should contact someone at LASFS (Los Angeles Science Fantasy Society)
Loscon.org and LASFS.org
Meet with them in person at the Lasfs clubhouse, and get it worked out. One voice for us. 
Our con is aug 29- sept 1 and Loscon is thanksgiving weekend. Both are in hotels near lax. Both can swap tables and/or ads as well as flyers. (us promoting orcon)

I think Patrick knows Loscon people. If not, let me know - I think I have someone I can call there but it's been a while.
 
I know we're still thinking local but I will be attending Boardgamegeek.CON in November, too. I think we should consider advertising there for the Strategicon convention series. We could sponsor an event with a prize to get mention or give them an advert for Orccon into their gift bags. I'll be going anyway so it would be good to bring some kind of advertising.
 
Remember when we talked about promotional items - dice and all that? At the last BGG.con, Troll and Toad brought pads full of 'score sheets'. It was the talk of the place - people kept saying, "You have any of those Troll and Toad pads?" And people took them home with to use, too. That was a ton of advertising for them. Something simple like that at BGG.con (and Gencon and Origins, if anyone is going) would be huge for getting the Strategicon name out there more.
