Very cool idea but very hard to apply.
Boardgames, miniatures, collectable cards and miniatures, larps, role playing, rpga, large scale miniatures, and computer games.
Even if you played them all , you still have to fit into specific time slots of the games you have a chance to win, brought cards or miniatures for, or know how to play.
Warhammer 40k and fantasy, warmachine, etc are all day events to determine a winner. Many collectable events will tie up 4+ hours too.
Spend 4 hours in an event and get second and it throws off your quest. Time is not on your side.
That being said if someone won 1 actual event in each dept. that had at least 4+ particpants (and not just them and their friends going from dept to dept filling an event and cheesing it toward 1 person)  they earned a trophy. Not just the free con entrance , get that person a trophy. they earned it. 
we could do cross themes.
World of warcraft is a computer game, a role playing game, a collectable card game, a boardgame and the miniatures are coming soon.
Same with a ww2 naval theme. Boardgames, large scale miniatures, collectable miniature games, miniatures, computer or console, etc.

I think it would be cool to have a cross department contest to see who can win one of every type of gaming event. The prize could be entrance into the Con next year.
