0. Lunch

1. Announcements
We need an RPG department head.
We're going to GAMA and Norm is heading that effort up

2. Gateway 2008
     A. How'd we do?
     Attendance -- approx 920
     rooms came in fine.
     We still found a way to lose money, but given the attendance this  
was not surprising.
     B. Good points
     Computer room
     Board Gaming
     special projects
     C. Room to improve
     Signage
     Miniatures -- we had the space and it was unused
     Parking -- probably scared the miniatures folks away more than most
     Signage -- but we keep improving. Mark not having time hurt us here

3. The coming year
     A. Hotel situation. In contact with the Marriott. Update: All the  
dates are open in Burbank, including Gamex and Gateway 2009
     B. Special Guests. Try to keep it relatively low cost, but final  
call is Mark's.

     Idea: Send out two free passes to Orccon to all the honors clubs  
of the various high schools (Robyn say send it to the ASB (Associated  
Student Body?) of each school)
     We'll be doing a flyer and postcard.

4. Web site
     picked up gamexla.com and gatewayla.com so as to be able to do  
individual con sites (already have orccon.com)
     turned on event add

5. Q&A
     John proposed we create an Open/Community Gaming department.  
Centralize event boards and player boards. Will contact the local  
games stores about groups and space.
     We should start looking into doing charity fundraising events --  
good PR.

     Minis for paint and take? Reaper -- Janice, GW -- Robyn.
