[Deptheads] Time to add events

Anyone can submit an event thru the system (rpg, miniatures, collectables, boardgames, larp, special projects) but the department head would still have to do one of 3 things:
1. Approve the event
2. Deny the event
3. Approve the event but edit the time, day, etc.

Option 3 comes up often when events are blindly submitted. I had 5 people wanting to run monsterpocalypse on  friday, saturday and sunday.  If they all had submitted their events I would have had 5 monsterpocalypse events scheduled friday at 6 pm and 5 on saturday at 6 pm. Often an event will have several people wanting to run it.
The other issue is space. Cannot just submit a 3-room larp for noon saturday and expect it to run without asking first. Same with running a game that requires lots of floor space or several tables.

Most contact the department head about the event they want to run,  the time and date details are hammered out , and then the department head tells them to submit the event to the site and it will be approved. That is when the online subnmission system is used best.
Otherwise online submission system works like applying for a job. You submit your application to run an event then you wait for approval, being denied, or discussing what can be done to get it run.
Best to contact the dept. head first.

Vic

Then why do we have the online submission system?
