Well have fun kids,

Tara and I bought tickets a year ago for Comiccon this weekend, so we will
be down in San Diego.

Jose hopefully will be on hand to handle those few details needed for
Miniatures.

In general, miniature events continue their downward spiral due to the
perceived awful location ("Rat"ison) and the parking garage structure. But
you know the old saying perception is reality as far as outside observers
go! 

I don't even have any group stepping forward to run the GW events nor any
Warmachine events, but given the drastic drop in attendance by the Miniature
gaming crowd, there will be no Warmachine events, and I have stepped up to
run the GW events, though I need help in getting prize support for the
events (doesn't someone have contact with GW and the Warhouse and could get
this for us?).

As far as floor space goes for miniatures, put us where-ever you want Eric,
burying us in with board games will be the death nell of Miniatures, due to
the perception that we, miniature gamers, are being further squeezed out by
the juggernaught of board games, and if board games are the future of
Strategicon, this might not be a bad thing.

We do still have miniature paint and take, and I would suggest keeping it in
the same location as past raddison conventions (by the windows/2nd floor).

It sounds like John has grabbed the venue that he wants with the miniature
gaming academy.  Make sure that he leaves space for the other demo teams
that we are trying to line up also (AE WWII).
