Strategicon hosts a Los Angeles Games day at Gateway/Gamex:
 
With the collapse of the Gamesworkshop LA gamesday for 2009, Strategicon
would like to step up to the challenge of supporting those Gamesworkshop
players on the West coast this year:
 
They are inviting all gamestores and clubs to host gaming tables at the
Labor day weekend convention (Gateway) on Saturday September 5th.
 
What each store should do is construct a game/scenario that could be run all
day at the convention to highlight some aspect of a game or system and would
attract people visiting the convention to the miniature hobby:
Tables must be run/staffed from 10am until 5pm on the Saturday of the event.
What each store/group would receive to support the effort is:  8x8 area of
tables or gaming space, 4 day passes for volunteers/organizers to the
convention and a free gamesday miniature that is being specially purchased
for this event.
Prizes will be given for the best table presented the day of the convention.
What is needed by Strategicon,
·     a games day miniature for the event, tables for each group (8x8),

·     up to 4 day passes per group.

·     Massive advertising that we are doing this.

W e should also approach Gamesworkshop for sponsorship of the event to gain
access to terrain sprues and miniatures to expand out the paint and take to
include a terrain building section.
