Okay, here's a real out-of-the-box idea -- abolish departments.
Instead of board games, RPG's, miniatures, collectibles, video games,
and seminars all competing with each other, which is what we have now,
there should be one department -- events. The event coordinator
should do exactly what the title implies -- coordinate all the events
for the good of the convention, balancing space and time needs.
Now that I've painted a huge target on my chest ....
