Subject: [Deptheads] Good-bye, All

I resigned three weeks ago as exhibitor coordinator for the
conventions and will no longer be attending or participating.  (Yes,
Mr. Burgess, your fondest wish has come true.  Enjoy yourself.)  I
have been considering this for several months, as I weighed the amount
of time and energy I gave to the conventions versus the negative
atmosphere, infighting, and factionalism.  The scales were tipped
because I simply can no longer afford to go to the conventions.  I
have spent literally half my life attending and working at these
conventions, and I will miss them and many of the people involved.  I
wish you all well.
