[Deptheads] next meeting

With ComicCon the 25th and Gencon the 8th, is Aug 1st as a meeting date  
definitely out as a possibility?

I will be at Comic con that weekend. July 22-25. Flying Buffalo is having  
it's 40th anniversary convention that weekend too.
Aug. 2-8 is  (WBC) World Boardgaming championships in PA. 
And Aug 5-8 is Gencon. Good call not having a meeting that weekend since  
some of us will be there.
This is convention season with our convention, socal smackdown, and   
Dragon con  and PAX all sept. 3-6 to wrap up the summer and lead  into fall. And 
we have people that attend pax and dragon con.
Gencon had just over 27,000 last year and is declining. Dragon con is  
rising and was over 30,000 last year. 
PAX is already sold out and will pass the 61,000 attendees they had last  
year. Comic con will pass the 130,000 they had last year.
Socal smackdown is taking a piece of the local gaming pie from us that  
weekend but we will still see growth. The overall con experience is getting  
people out this summer.
