Yes, Back to the Future will be a pre-release at the convention. If there
are no other objections, I will ask Kristen to contact Universal and see
what she can get done. Honestly, the worst case scenario is that we cannot
show the movies and that isn't the end of the world. The Looneys will be
great - they are fully committed to playing with fans the whole time and it
is nice they come with some ready-made events. Their fan-base has terrific
materials to support their events and they are bringing plenty of games to
support the cons, too.
I'm not sure we want to mail those postcards out with a marketing message.
To whom would you mail it? I guess we could send it to VIPs ahead of time if
they committed to the higher cost as a nice bonus reminding them that their
premium con experience is coming soon (or just put it into the bag).
Alan and Chris at the last con excepted, we've been treating the guests
pretty well and I had many of them thank us for what we have done for them.
Let's make sure we coordinate on that so we aren't doing double-work.
Although I recall some talk about a VIP deal, I haven't heard much about the
plan. Keep in mind that we have Tom Lehmann coming, too.
