Yup, we're now up to 40 events. And we got our first pre-reg :-)

This is the biggest Gateway we have on record -- which means in the  
last 10 years. Most likely the biggest since the late 1990s. I'm going  
to try to get more numbers from the past -- it would be really nice to  
know the numerical history a bit better.

We have confirmed Rodger B. MacGowan as one of our Guests of Honor for  
next show. We are working on another one -- Eric B. will let us know  
if/when he confirms. I'm still recovering -- bed time. We need to send  
out thank yous and pay off the last few people whom are owed  
reimbursements.

We're looking at the next meeting being mid October. I promise to not  
put it on the same dat as the Orange Count Board Game meeting (10  
October if I remember right).

I'm leaning towards the weekend after (17th) or the one after that  
(24th). Not the 31st.... For those new to the group the October  
meeting is the directional planning meeting. We decide on some long- 
term strategy for the coming, wrap up how the year went, etc. It's  
more critical for some than others.

We are also adding at least one person to the Board Game staff. Dan  
O'Farrell is coming in to re-establish the traditional card game  
track. He will report to Neil. We are looking at adding one more  
person -- Neil is checking on this before any announcement is made.

The cats are glad to see us again. Thanks again. For the first time  
since we've been running this con, I felt we were firing on all  
cylinders. Putting on a show like this is not a trivial undertaking.  
The fact that we're all essentially doing this as a labor of love  
(owners included) right now is amazing.
