Hello - 

I'd like to re-suggest the idea of considering getting Rich Hasenauer, designer/publisher of the "Fire and Fury" minature rules systems as a guest for Gateway.

Tim, and I believe Harmon also mentioned that this gentleman could be a great draw, bringing in a nice chunk of historical gamers.  Victor also reminded us about SoCal Smackdown. Getting Mr. Hasenauer would be a great counter to the niche market the Smackdown crowd is aiming to draw away.

A few points:
1) On the historical side, the Civil War is one of the top three or so most popular periods
2) Hasenauer's "Fire and Fury" rules are THE most popular and high-profile system in use
3) According to our contact, Brian Bradford, Hasenauer is pretty enthusiastic about the idea of coming out, and would be happy to run multiple events.
4) His appearance would generate a LOT of buzz among historical mini players, and would be a great way to spotlight Gateway versus Smackdown.
5) Miniature gaming (at our cons) is having a Renaissance. This could take things up yet another notch.

My appeal would be to consider adding him to Gateway. It would strengthen a rebounding segment of our attendance base, it would generate attention to our con, and would be a strong counter-move to SoCal Smackdown.
