Trying not to respond defensively - really!

7-10pm is valid but as I said we have people unable to setup by 8:30.   And some also like to have time to get some convention time in. 

The other option means the Con has to pay for an extra day for XH rooms, and the dealers have to pay for an extra room and extra days wages. Since we open early yes it would be a tried and true way of getting earlier sales, but the issue would be more sales and enough more to cover those costs - plus Con cost - as off set by an early opening for our guests. 

I am willing to see how other cons do it to compare, so let me know some that are doing first day openings.  I do not believe Dundra or kubla does, but pacificon does (grin). 

Pacificon down to 6 hour volunteer for a full weekend badge now. Man, they refuse me one for 3 times that in the past!
