[Deptheads] Dealer Room Friday

It was established that most of the dealers cannot make friday night because they work their stores, have other jobs, paying for help, etc. so there shouldn't be an issue with too many dealers selling in flea market. It won't be half or we should consider opening the dealer's room friday if that many are avaialble wanting to sell.

The friday night flea market can have a dealer's area. It isn't a dealer's room so the do not have "X" number of tables. They get 1 table in flea market while they set up their main tables and booth in EH. They aren't setting up things behind their table or setting up racks etc. at flea market.  Just a sampling of their stuff. Most won't do it but maybe 2 or 3 will. Even if they just have a table in flea market with a few itmes on it and sell games they have in their booth and go back and get the items for you.

It will work. Have a dealer's row in the flea  market on friday. The dealer's have the option to sell from 1 table in the flea market on friday if they so desire. They dont have to have all their stuff at the flea market to sell it. They can shuttle from the EH while set up is going on. And the other dealers can arrive and set up friday night and sat morning as usual. The option to sell "early" will appeal to some and our members will enjoy having dealers to shop from on friday.

Friday Auction table for dealers-

So, at first, I thought it was a great idea...  I am less sure now, though we could always try it.

We have say 20 dealers... lets say half want to do this... thats 10 tables!

Next, you have 3 dealers with 5 or more tables, some with 3 or more "types" of games...  do they get one table, same as the one tables people?  I know that I will hear about it  - yes, they will complain about a free table!   What if people want something they did not bring out of the dealers room?

Lastly, it's supposed to be a Flea Market, we are supposed to be discouraging - and frankly not allowing - major item sales...  but then we are going to let dealers in?  It's not where they belong.  It also takes us out of the dealer area, it makes for more money out and about on the floor, items going back and forth, etc...

I would rather we take the hit and open the room from 6-8PM on Friday, mistake that I think that would be, and add in the rules needed to make that work.  The dealers would not be happy, and having just gotten the room full and raised prices, I am even less inclined to like it.
