This is promoting their convention , Not propaganda. They are in no way slamming
us.
Orange county (Anaheim convention center) is also host to Blizzcon in october.
That is an electronic gaming convention. And 1 month after socal smackdown
So they cannot say they are the premiere gaming convention in orange county
since Blizzcon is in orange county. But they can say they are the premiere
non-electronic gaming convention in orange county.
Of course they will say they are family friendly. They are. It is something you
want to advertise.
Most gaming conventions list themselves as family friendly unless the convention
promotes nudity, horror, adult themes, sex, crude language, etc...18+, 21+ etc.
since you cannot avoid things not appropriate for children.
I agree about amping it up. We should make sure that the gaming community is not
just getting stuff from other cons. "Out of sight- out of mind" when it comes to
new people or those on the fence.

Interesting propoganda
SoCal Smackdown, Orange County’s premier non-electronic gaming convention:
>>
>>The four-day convention is the home of hundreds of different non-electronic
>>gaming events, including board, role-playing, collectible card and miniature
>>games. SoCal Smackdown is a family-friendly convention that brings friends
>>together (new and old) with the mutual goal of playing games in a social
>>atmosphere. SoCal Smackdown offers both competitive and non-competitive games
>>for all audiences.
>>
Does this mean that Strategicon is an electronic GC?
Is Strategicon non-family friendly?
Strategicon does not have a social atmosphere?
Come one where is our advertising and press releases.
Amp is up people!!
