Guys, this was my concern about this thread.  Simply mentioning HMGS has
TOTALLY gotten thie point of  this thread off track.

I had hoped to get peoples ideas about how to get peoples attention and come
to GATEWAY rather than other activities, even if those were conventions,
going to the beach, going to disneyland, etc.  This goes beyond any issues
with HGMS, they are a symptom, not the disease.

I will agree with Bill that the HGMS/Strategicon partnership of the past
year did both organizations to good favor.

But I am human and what I expressed about HGMS leaving was a personal
opinion of betrayal.  I can understand if they found a better girlfriend to
dance with, but that doesn¹t make it hurt any less, and I¹m still standing
on the sideline mourning the loss.  If it has been a good relationship, then
it makes it hurt even more, but my attitude is ŒNext²  who are we going to
woo to get them to our con this time.

This is why I suggested that we activate our team talent and help in coming
up with marketing slogans, advertisng and materials, because I don¹t see us
stepping up.  We can¹t sit here and moan about girlfriends past, lets move
on.
