    What about having a play room.  Provide paper, crayons, some toys and games, 
perhaps a TV with a DVD player.  This way the parents can take their kids there 
to play while they watch them?  If this setup could be folded into the video 
games room (in the back) then you wouldn't need any extra volunteers to watch 
over the equipment/toys.  Its loud enough in there that kids screaming/crying 
would be drowned out.  Fence off the area to keep the big kids out and the 
little ones in while they play.  Put a couch, some chairs so parents can sit and 
read.  Call it the kids lounge.

Could we do a "kids program" event schedule brochure that shows just the kids 
activities?  Not a full-blown con book, but just a filtered event listing and 
maybe descriptions.
