Excellent guest!

Ted's art would be great -just make sure our artwork director Taralyn is in the
loop for any conbook cover or t-shirt designs...she may already have designers
and artwork lined up or in the works.
Besides the cover or t-shirts there is also room for inside cartoons, inside
cover, back cover, 2-page foldout in the middle, etc. Just see what Taralyn has
in the works.

Subject: [Deptheads] Ted Alspach is a go for Gateway 2011

We got ourselves a third Guest of Honor for Gateway 2011. As requested, I
reached out to Ted Alspach and he's thrilled to come down. This is a nice one,
too, because he usually goes to PacifiCon that weekend.

Ted is well-known as a board game designer who also does unique maps of Age of
Steam, has published cool versions of Werewolf (Ultimate Werewolf) and has done
a lot of party and light euro games. He will be bringing a bunch of his Essen
releases which should excite the rail game, party and euro game fans. We're
working out his effect on our Werewolf schedule in particular - we'll probably
want to extend it, which will be fun in particular light of the conversation
we've had recently about family games.

Ted is also the author of a popular eurogame cartoon called "Board 2 Pieces" and
he is willing to provide cover/t-shirt art for our convention booklet. He'll
come up with a witty cartoon unique to Gateway 2011. Hopefully, that'll be a fun
way to define this show. You can see more at his Board 2 Pieces website or the
Bezier Games site (also his). Three Sages sells his games exclusively at the
con, too.

We're sorting out his schedule now and I'll send more details when they become
available.
