Ted is an great choice. His ultimate werewolf game is already very popular with the werewolf gaming crowds at our con and his age of steam stuff is awesome...plus his books.

We could add Wick to Gateway, if you like. He comes to the convention on his own a lot.
Incidentally, it would be easy to drop him in on Gamex with Siadek and Gorilla Games. They are both locals that people have seen plenty so it's not a bad pairing.

Do you guys still want me to check on Ted Alspach? I was going to look into him for Gateway (he'd be unlikely to abandon Kublacon but Pacificon could be done) but if we already have Kevin Wilson and want to add Wick, do we want a third person?

I wanted to get him to do a version for a book authorI want for the dealer room.  Graphic novels really.  One has to do with a mining colony with blind workers subservient to sighted masters. Rebellion occurs.

John Wick is a great choice for a special guest.
Houses of the Blooded and Shotgun Diaries larps and rpgs are excellent.

As a guest he has run shotgun diaries con game on sunday where con-goers can go to his booth, get a shotgun diaries badge, be told they are zombie or survivor,, and interact with other shotgun diaries participants (who are not in a game, shopping, eating, etc.) A fun con game along with his larps and rpgs. His seminars are great, he is an awesome speaker and tons of fun. Plus he will draw some of his core from arizona to our con and solidify our tie with rincon and neoncon (where he also appears)

He has a good following of fans, is all over the web and everywhere you go that talks larps, rpgs as well as ccg design and the deck building game craze that is ccg gaming without opening booster packs.

And if we did the themed
con (like joe wanted for costume contest and others in the past have suggested) it could be survival horror. Shotgun diaries roleplaying and larps, resident evil card game and video games, horrorclix,  zombie themed awefully bad movies and costume contest, zombies board games and victory point "after the bomb" war games, and miniature games....with a zombie themed conbook cover.

Hey team,

I have an idea for a special guest, John Wick (of 7th Sea and Legend of the Five Rings, among other games).  I figure he'd be a good guest because he has recognition in CCGs, RPGs, and LARPs.  I've seen him as a seminar speaker before and he's a good presenter.  He lives in Arizona, so it wouldn't be that far for him
 to travel.
