[Deptheads] All hands on deck! Last minute flyer to gamestores

So I have been to a little over a half dozen stores today. Game empire, collector's paradise, emerald Knights, game ogre, all ways gaming, comic odyssey, Last grenadier. I saw that some had put the date on the fliers they already had, I gave them more and all was good, but I got to thinking about  the ones that I went to that were not very familiar with the con and their customers have no way to discern from the flyer what it is about.  One magic store said oh go hang it by the comics and was disinterest along with the customers standing about. I mention magic events and what the con was about and I passed out 6 fliers right then.  

Not that this matters now but for the next conference we should put a header that says something like. 

Orccon 2012 - A non stop weekend of Boardgames, Miniatures, RPGs and CCGs of all kinds!! Register now before you favorite event fills up!!! 

It says what we do, it encourages pre registration and leaves plenty of room for the gorgeous artwork that makes them look at it in the first place. We got their attention we just didn't sell them anything. 

Anyhow, I am educating as I make my way to these comics shops, card stores and game stores and learning that we have market to be reached and a emerging group of board, card and miniature gamers that the word Strategicon carries no information for them.  

Thoughts? Feedback?

Hence why adding the date and web site fixes at least part of the problem.

I don't know how we all missed noticing this at the meeting -- it was correctable then....
