[Deptheads] All hands on deck! Last minute flyer to gamestores

Marketing is indeed responsible for the flyers so we goofed on not getting the info on the flyer that we needed.
We do send a letter out to the stores with the flyers. It has all of the information in the letter that Shawn is suggesting and more. The problem is that in many cases the letter gets tossed and sometimes the flyers do as well. I actively try to educate my local game stores on the conventions and the flyers and hope that all of you are as well. We definitely need a consistent grass roots effort to spread the word which is part of what we hope that the various groups on group page are helping to do.
Always happy to hear ideas and suggestions to more effectively get the word out.
Eric

Who's responsible for drawing up the fliers? Marketing?

So I have been to a little over a half dozen stores today. Game empire, collector's paradise, emerald Knights, game ogre, all ways gaming, comic odyssey, Last grenadier. I saw that some had put the date on the fliers they already had, I gave them more and all was good, but I got to thinking about the ones that I went to that were not very familiar with the con and their customers have no way to discern from the flyer what it is about. One magic store said oh go hang it by the comics and was disinterest along with the customers standing about. I mention magic events and what the con was about and I passed out 6 fliers right then.

I took a look and I agreed. My guess would be Vegas Showgirl convention or cosplay, but definitely not a game convention.
