Trying to make more work for me? I'm not sure how we'd go about making a single sign-up for multiple events in the system. :)

> Friday for most gaming conventions will always be slower than saturday or sunday because it is a work day and the con opens at noon but doesn't really kick into gear until evening (when people get off work and arrive thru LA traffic)
> Some reasons friday is slower is not because many people cannot afford it or don't want to come out-- it is because of juggling babysitters, work, arranging pet care, traffic, and time. Dealing with LA traffic to the airport on the friday to start labor day weekend or memorial day weekend is a task. Side note...Rick mccoy and others who are running larp events at our con (that I know from my larping days) said they are going to talk to ryan and schedule larp events on friday next con...why? Because there is no space on saturday and sunday as they are all competing with the other larp events for space and players. With phoenix comicon and kublacon and other cons within 8 hours that same weekend I don't think rooms will be an issue. Wyrd con is also right after our con so several of the larpers I know that attend our con will be saving up for that and not at Gamex. Memorial day weekend is a steel cage match for gaming conventions. A masquerade will be the boost we need.

You get something and give up something nomatter the day you choose. In the past we have had interactive special events friday nights and had more staff at them than attendees. In the past getting celebs out was easier on saturday than friday. And don't sweat competing events on friday, saturday or sunday...people will have to choose. And that is better than a time block where there is nothing someone wants to do. Rock band is all 3 nights 7-midnight and so is improv and other interactive events, RPG has 8-12 block every night and miniatures, ccg, and boardgames still have tourneys going on all night. And if we are looking at attracting new people to the con we aren't as concerned with who is already coming to our con gaming at night. Celebs and people coming just for the masquerade don't care which day it is based on other gaming. And remember---staff here are merely suggesting things, throwing out ideas, and giving you the pros and cons of certain times, days and choices...the ultimate choice is yours and make that day and time slot yours and rock the house!! We got your back.
