[Deptheads] Supporting Gaming Groups

SoCal Gamers supports the convention through information and some of their
staff are big-time volunteers at the con.

SoCalGamesday falls into the same category. It's run by Stephanie Kelleher,
our VIP Coordinator.

Westsidegamers do less than the other groups but heaven help us if we drop
them. Robert Neff would keep the Feedback Forum going until the next con.

Boardgamegeek was supposed to be for BGG Patrons (people that paid at least
$25 a year to support the site). I don't think we enforce that much,
especially considering that it is free to be part of the aforementioned
groups. That was done to get us a bit more 'in' with BGG and would could
extract some of that goodwill from them. I'm good friends with Aldie, the
owner/operator.

These groups help support the convention with advertising, word of mouth
and by avoiding our weekends. We could ask them to formally 'sponsor'
events without too much trouble. We'd just note the events they are doing:

VIP Events sponsored by SoCalGamesday
Wargame Bootcamp sponsored by SoCal Gamers
Prize Support sponsored by BGG (I can get something from them)
Free Pizza Eaten by Westsidegamers (no, I'm only joking - they do have
members that run games!)

Will that work?
