[Deptheads] October Meeting

For what it's worth/food for thought.....

Why did it have to be *this* particular date?  With a fair number of
department heads unable to attend (mostly due to the last minute nature,
I'm sure), wouldn't it be better to postpone it a couple weeks to ensure
everyone can plan accordingly?  Maybe November 4 would be a better choice?
 Not trying to be "dickish" here, but... the restructure/reorganization
thing is kind of a big deal...Reading about it in the minutes isn't exactly
fair to those who'd been planning to go, but now cannot because of the
arbitrary date choice and short notice.  I, personally, had been looking
forward to this particular meeting as I wanted first hand info on what it
involved and such......and now I don't get to be a part of it because I'd
already spent $400 on plane tickets for something I'd been planning since
July.

I'm sorta with Robyn on this one.  If it was so important for the date to
be October 21, that, perhaps, should have been brought up much sooner.
 Regular meetings, yeah, not as big a deal.  Restructuring/reorganization?
 HUGE deal.
