Tanya makes valid point, "if and where to draw the line."
Yes, we have the obligation to draw the line.
Where we draw it must be a common sense decision by the department head for whom the volunteer works. Any "hard definitions" will not work. Gamers are naturally programmed to get around and exploit rules, so any definitions we lay out will be nothing but a challenge to gamers.
Department Heads must observe and use common sense.

Personally, I get mildly offended by any shirt I notice that is stating a message that doesn't go with the spirit of the con 'fun and games'. Political stuff would be at the top of my list no matter what the issue or party it's for. I go to the cons to try to get away from the real life.
I wish everyone would be more considerate of the venue when choosing what comments their shirts make. Those representing the con especially.
I wouldn't be surprised if I'm in the typically silent majority.
However, I have no idea if and where to draw the line.
Tanya
