So we did *really* well -- up almost 25 percent year over year.

And we did it the right way too -- the ratio of volunteers to paid attendees was right about where I wanted it. I don't think we were hurting for volunteers, but we weren't swimming in them either.

On paper, this was the largest Gateway of the century (we have records back to 2001, so we can safely make that claim).
