We had more than we needed in places, but we also had a few shortages. It balanced out. I actually prefer to run with a slight surplus. A couple of people with little to do is better than several people going insane trying to plug holes.

By the way, the babysitters made this con far easier than previous ones. If it weren't for a total baby meltdown Saturday morning which put Tanya on edge a good chunk of the day, it would have been almost perfect. We still need someone to cover Fridays -- Eric Nyquist did his best but won't necessarily be available for this in the future -- but otherwise I can't complain. Needed to get to the store and never did, however.

This may or may not be an issue at Orccon. For those that don't know, we're expecting kid number 2 in January. Tanya almost certainly will not be at Orccon, and I don't know what my schedule will be. I could be there by myself, with Keith, or not at all. If it's the with Keith scenario, I will need all the help I can get.

It also means we will need to plan ahead and get stuff done early. More on that later.
