Clarifying.....

Did you want to make this a "ticket for item" thing or like the boardwalk  
"1 ticket" prizes, "2 ticket" prizes, etc.?

ticket to come get something and give your team the goods. The only  motivation 
is getting them in there so if your staff already has too much to  do, we 
can distribute. It'll just be promo stuff we have left over (like  Dominion 
cards, 7 Wonders Catan boards, and the Antoine promo. I still have  enough to 
at least do it 'while supplies last' (and it cleans out a box in  my game 
library - yay!)

Yes, we should absolutely do two tables for Vlaada play testing. I'll  be 
happy to leave games I add unapproved - just never did that  before.

I was saying we could give away prizes to everyone who qualifies  (say, 
plays two Vlaada games). I have a bunch of little prizes and if  Paiva wants to 
do it, we could have them distributed in the dealer room.  We don't need to 
give them all dealer bucks - it could get abused.

There is room in the budget for a BIG prize for the winners of the  
Vlaada-thon.  If you want $2 for each participant, that could get  expensive, but 
also should be doable.  Maybe set a minimum point  value that requires most

Please do not put games  into the schedule without letting me approve them. 
 There are  several reasons I want to approve all events in the ballroom, 
not least  of which is preventing conflicts and putting them on my personal  
schedule spreadsheet.  Since I assume Galaxy Trucker has been  scheduled to 
fit in Vlaada's schedule, I will not change it, but I would  have liked to 
know about this before I scheduled other  tournaments.  I will also leave it 
as a MED tournament, since I am  already adding the Vlaada-thon as a  BIG.

Should we reserve a table for him in the VIP/DEMO/PLAYTEST  area?  The 
DEMOs and PLAYTESTs are starting to take off and that  area is going to be full 
most of con.  I am happy to give him the  space, I just would like to know 
ahead of time.  I understand he  doesn't know, but please relay this 
information as soon as you get it so  I can plan accordingly.

I apologize for this being so late. Although I lovelovelove my new  job, it 
is keeping me very busy alongside my game design work. But I've  secured 
timing and support for the Vlaada events now.

Vlaada Events for Gateway 2013  

All Weekend

Vlaada-Thon - Players can play any Vlaada Chvatil game and get  points for 
playing and winning. The top ten players with the most points  will get 
prizes. I'll find prizes for the event, although it would be  awesome to get 
some dealer dollar support for the top prizes and maybe  $2 prizes for all of 
them (remember that low prizes help drive people  into the dealer room!) We 
will release a point value based on the length  of time to play the games. 
We'll also give points for games from his  game company, Czech Games Edition. 
We'll have printed forms at the  Library (as well as Play to Win game forms) 
and will run the whole thing  with the library staff. I'm writing up 
something more marketing-friendly  for Kryssie's e-mail.

Friday

7pm - Q&A session with Vlaada Chvatil - I assume we can get the  theater? 
If not, please advise me ASAP so I can update the  listing.

Saturday

9am - Through The Ages tournament - Already registered by someone  else. We 
can have Vlaada visit the tournament. He may have an  alternative scenario.
7pm - Galaxy Trucker - Vlaada will be bringing special ships for  the 
final. Shane - can we get this for a Tournament? How about a Big  one?

Sunday

12pm - Space Alert - Shane's friend already added it.
7pm - Dungeon Lords - Added by Erick Vallejos.

Vlaada may  have playtest games we can run in the afternoons on Saturday 
and Sunday  but those will need to be walkup because he couldn't confirm he 
will  have them until he gets here.

Vlaada doesn't need a table in the  dealer room, as noted before, but if 
you want him to come by at some  point to meet the dealers and sign games, 
please let me know.
