[Deptheads] Policies regarding facilities information

I just wanted some clarification here to avoid any future confusion. What
is the protocol for the dissemination of operations related materials to
the general public? I am unaware of any policies concerning how we
interface with attendees about internal facilities/operations related
information. It would seem logical to me that there be guidelines regarding
the release of said information to the general public.

This is especially true when confronted with issues that may be considered
contentious. When these situations arise, it is important to give our
clients a full and comprehensive picture of our decision making. Without
that, people have a tendency to jump to unfortunate conclusions that would
otherwise not be made when presented with the big picture.

It is my opinion that the distribution of any such information should be
left to department heads working alongside our marketing department to
ensure that this information is presented in the best possible light. To
avoid any spurious rumormongery it should also be noted that this
information should otherwise be kept confidential until a formal statement
can be made. This will avoid us having to scramble to deal with client
concerns which make us look unprofessional and unprepared.
