And from our convention book----
Annual awards points are scored from tourneys (and a tourney can be categorized as small, big or sponsored).
Events are played for the pure fun of the game (usually listed on page 2 of the con book) Events don't score.
Sponsored can be an event or a tourney--Sponsored just signifies that the prizes for the tourney/event are game and/or supplements.
 
That is what we have officially on our website and in the con book.

Can you clarify if EVENTS, SPONSORED, and TOURNAMENTS all score points for the award?
Because I have asked this question and received conflicting answers.
