[Deptheads] Fix the event problem we think

Wish I could say it was us, but it was actually in code beyond our control, Seems the machine's SPAM filter was referencing a site that no longer existed, and since that timed out, there was a bit of chain reaction as some mail servers would time out before we would (which is why some people weren't affected). 

We're going to re-enable messages on event submissions shortly, assuming our tests don't hang.
