[Deptheads] Banned game "The Assassination Game" - revisiting an
idea

I wouldn't call it a *sudden* interest - I've been interested in
meta-gaming for a long, long time. I organized TAG games at my high school,
and I've run scavenger hunts at Strategicon conventions a few times.
The general idea here is that I'd run it as a LARP, under the LARP banner,
and it would be a day-long event over the entire convention grounds.
Players would be trying to bump off specific targets *covertly*, without
anyone else nearby becoming aware that anything out-of-the-ordinary had
happened. Slipping someone a note "bomb", pinning a colored "poison dot" to
their badge, things along those lines. Players who made a spectacle of
their assassination attempt would have the "kill" nullified.
More rules to flesh it out, but suffice it to say that the very rules would
preclude people running down the hall yelling at each other and waving toy
guns.

"Would you like another drink, sir?" asked the bartender.
"I think not," replied Descartes, and promptly vanished.
