Shane, we had to talk so fast on Sunday that I didn't get a chance to thank some of your cohorts.  Mickey and Travis were especially gracious and helpful to our efforts in scheduling tales and resolving matters at the Boardgaming Desk in the Ballroom.  I even consulted with Travis when some of the people eating food would not move from the Talisman 101 table at 12 noon.  Mickey constantly guided me where to find the Game Library and other essential parts of the convention.

As usual, your Game Procedures worked, and all forms were turned in.  Robert, I believe, was quite prompt in delivering the forms to our Talisman table.  I enjoyed the Ballroom and thought it was better appointed than the Marriott.  The signs were especially good in the hallways, and only the Game Library was difficult to find.  The roving guard and convention people helped immensely in that endeavor.  I kept turning down the wrong corridor on the second floor.  It was a good idea to schedule some of the miniatures with the boardgames.  It allowed those of us who didn't get around every floor to view different kinds of activities easily.  I liked Alfonso being positioned centrally with the Rio Grande table.  He was always willing to help and teach new games.  The dealers were also easy to reach from the main ballroom (John Paiva).

No one left my Talisman tournament and did not return as a participant in the final round.  We just need to keep getting more players, as time develops.  I found the designers of other games most willing to help in the learning process and guide the newbies.

Congratulations on your efforts.  Is it possible to have in the next Gamex program a short paragraph on how to locate the Game Library and its importance?  Therefore, I wonder if I could have the e-mail address of the program designer (Jim Pinto?) to offer this suggestion.  Also, I would  like to praise the overall owners of the conventions (Eric Aldrich) and use their mail addresses for choosing the Hilton.  It should become a winner for us.

Best, Jay
