Not a big deal for cover art, but it's all over the place with the brush
strokes being pixelated. The clearest section of the concept is on the guy's
left sleeve where the wrappings are loose and hanging down. You see there
the lines look like stairs instead of a straight line? Those would magnify
in a shirt because the process to digitalize colors for the machines there
would be too many lines to try to "match up" in the color borders and it
wouldn't blend right, amplifying the effect. I could take something like this
to get done, but the set-up fee would go from $100 to about $400-$500
depending on how much time the artist I hire to fix it takes.
it's not a matter of the dpi, but how it's vectored and mapped out.

Boxed diagonals? Not seeing any.

My mistake then. I didn't know the "boxed diagonals" were
intentional...thought they were just badly pixelated lines.

In this case that's not true -- we start at 450 dpi. No one will see those
pixels. The real problem to do this is we only get 6 colors unless we go
digital. We've done that once -- the "Clue" Orccon shirts a couple years
back. But that limits the shirt color to something lighter.
It also limits who we can go with. The digital equipment isn't
traditional, and not everyone has it.
