[Deptheads] Hotel Block Question.

I looked into this a little more and started an inquiry with the Hilton. But here some factors that make me think there has been little to no room poaching

1. We sold out our block at Gateway and had to grab any room we could. No Gallifrey One there
2. Our pre reg is through the roof.
3. Gallifrey One sold all of its available tickets last March.
4. Gallifrey One opens its room block in March/April of the prior year. It sells out instantly. We open ours if all goes well in September for Orccon. As a Gallifrey One attendee, you're taking your chances on waiting for us.

The one annoying thing is that the Hilton is listed as a nearby hotel on the Gallifrey One web site, and it erroneously lists them as having the lowest price.

So my guess is they could very well be sucking up rooms at the hotel, but not in our block. That said, I'm going to check.

Also, we will probably start gating our block with con registration just to be sure, but when we hit this problem again, then what?

Can we attribute the room reservations in our block to strictly Strategicon attendees, or is there the possibility that Galifrey One attendees may be booking at the Hilton using our code for a better rate? The link for our rate and block is publicly available without any type of registration or verification required.
