I read about the hotels Zero Tolerance program for outside food, here is my response.


I have been coming to the local convention since 1986. I have been there even when it got really small in the bad years and I am happy that the convention is now doing well. However this will be my last convention at this hotel.


When we attend the convention we stay for two nights, always buy the breakfast/appetizer upgrade, always tip the bell person 20.00 to help with our bags, we also pay for parking. The four of us always eat a meal at the hotels restaurant as a special treat and we buy one lunch at the concession stand. Every convention we spend about 600.00 to 700.00 on the hotel and the above expenses at the hotel.


 We usually bring in 24 cans of soda in our cooler, several large bags of chips and grapes as well as a huge bag of  M&M's. Except for the soda's none of these things are available at the convention, the soda's cost about 5.00 at Vons.


So for 5.00 in sodas the hotel is willing to forgo 600.00?  I will probably be cancelling my rooms.
