Huzzah Jim!! I had forgotten that you did this also.
Oh, and Open Gaming, we still have those signs. <amazing huh>.
Agree also that these impromptu games and ‘home games’ using our space should NOT count toward earning a GM badge for the con.

That is exactly how games on demand works for RPGs. Walk in. Say you got some stuff to run. It gets put on a board. When the game fills it's in. I still think that you should have to pre-register to run things for a badge though.

Hi everyone,
In a conversation with a potential GM, the idea of "appointment gaming" came up. What I mean by this is a GM who wants to bring a game to con and play it with others, but does not want to run an event or fill out paperwork. They just want to play their game with people at the convention.
I was wondering if there is a system or program we could use to facilitate this. I know Open Gaming used to have "Players Wanted" flags, but I was thinking something more technologically advanced and less random. It could be something along the lines of an event board, maybe like a FB page or old school BBS, where people could say "I want to play game X at time Y and have room for Z players." Maybe even include an email address so you could contact this person.
I think we have talked about this in the past and I have forgotten why we don't do this, so I am just throwing this out here now, before the meeting, so someone can remind me why we don't. Or maybe this would be a good time to reevaluate this idea and see if it's something we are interested in trying, especially with the website being rebuilt. Anyway, it came up in a conversation and I thought I would mention it.
Thanks for reading,
Shane Sauby
